A Recreation Pass is necessary for each vehicle parked at trailheads where required. Turn left onto NF Road 12 and continue for another 13.5 miles. Turn left and continue to the second right, Barrel Springs Lane and continue another another 0.5 mile to the Lower Trail Head. Road gated at MP 13.9 past the junction of Pioneer Camp Trailhead.

Provides access to : Mt Muller Trail #882 with a connection to Kloshe Nanitch Trail #882.1 on top of the ridge which accesses the former site of the Kloshe Nanitch Lookout (removed October 2012).
